Description
Yellow dock’s long, thin leaves are curled at the edges, which earns it the nickname curly dock. Known for its thick, yellow, fleshy roots, Rumex crispus has been employed in traditional herbal practices for its wellness-supporting qualities. Yellow dock root can be made into a syrup, decocted as tea, extracted, and infused in oil for topical application.

Preparation

  • Put 2 oz. Yellowdock Root into a glass quart jar and cover with boiling distilled Water, and let sit overnight. Next day, empty the jar into a pan, and heat uncovered on the stove on a low. Reduce to about 1-1/2 cups. Prepare the broadcloth by rinsing in hot water, completely ridding the cloth of the stiffening agent. Strain and squeeze the contents of the pan through the prepared broad cloth. Add 2 Tablespoons of Honey and refrigerate.
